Subjective Refraction

  • Prescription testing - To measure a person's prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses.

Posterior Eye Examinations

  • Fundus photography is used to examine the condition of posterior eye health, and monitoring progression of a disease. 
  • Intra-Ocular Pressure eye test can be done by a non-contact tonometer to measure the eye pressure, crucial for customers age 40 and above to detect the possibility and risk of Glaucoma.

Portable Eye Testing Tools

Presbyopia Screening

  • Patients age 40 and above with reading difficulty at near, a refraction test can be done to determine the right power of reading glasses.

Pediatric Eye Examinations

  • Children Eyecheck - Optometrists at EYE GEN are qualified to perform eye examinations on children age 7 and above. Squints (crossed eyes), lazy eye (amblyopia), and childhood myopia can be detected upon various tests conducted in an eye examination. Myopia Control Options (spectacles / contact lenses) are also available to help slow down the myopia progression.

Anterior Eye Examinations

  • This includes checking of general health of the eye such as the cornea(especially for contact lens wearers), the crystalline lenses to check for cataract, as well as any signs of degeneration etc

Contact lens Fitting

  • We assess the 'fit' of the contact lens on the cornea, as well as the achieving desirable comfort and vision with contact lenses wear.
  • Disposable soft contact lenses, multifocal contact lenses, contact lenses for monovision and rigid gas permeable lenses are frequently prescribed.

Dispensing of Optical Appliances

  • Optical appliances include Single-vision corrective spectacles, multi-focals, Safety Goggles and Sunglasses. To ensure customers' satisfaction throughout the buying process, we provide after-care services such as cleaning and adjustments of spectacles, replacement of nose pads for our valued customers.
