Eye strain can be caused by excessive or poor lighting conditions. Overhead lighting should be no brighter than your screen
Sitting too close to the screen can cause eye fatigue and blurred vision. Set you screen 40-60cm away from your eyes.
Old monitors and low resolution screens are hard on the eyes. Upgrade to a high resolution flat panel display for less eye fatigue.
Spending long hours on computer or other digital devices. We advise taking visual breaks in between, at least one 15min break after 2 hours of computer use.

BAD - Increased risk of retinal disease Studies suggest that long exposure to blue light below 460 nm (with a maximum at 440 nm) may lead to photochemical damage of the retina. This damage may constitute a risk of macular degeneration in the long term. Too much light in the ultraviolet and blue-violet bands can permanently damage the human eye. As well as leading to painful inflammation of the conjunctiva and cornea, it can also cause damage to the eye's crystalline lens (e.g. cataracts) and especially to the retina (macular degeneration).
GOOD - Controlling our biorhythm On the other hand, some studies have shown that blue light in the range between 400 and 520 nm (with a maximum at 460 nm) is very important for regulating the level of melatonin and therefore for controlling our biorhythm and wellbeing.
